BET Hip Hop Awards Held it down in Atlanta
Hotlanta was the place to be this past weekend. Every major Hip Hop Artist, C-list black celebrity, and Video ho was in attendance...not to mention a minimum of at least 2 billion dollars worth of bling designed by Jacob the Jeweler.
Let’s discuss what went down Saturday night...
Attention seeker, Kanye West was a no show, which was probably a good thing. West would’ve caught a beat down for just thinking about walkin up on stage and taking the mic from one of those nukkas.
T.I. won 2 awards for "Live Your Life" and the album of the year award for "Paper Trail”. His baby girl, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle accepted both on his behalf and read a letter T.I. wrote from prison, “Although I'm not there with you all, I'm there in spirit,” Cottle quoted the rapper as writing. "My road to redemption is almost over. ... Thanks for the support."
Jay z took home the “MVP Award”, while Drake received the “Rookie of the Year” award. Busta Bust, who was a mess, dressed in some fake ass, Canal Street looking Louie Vutton outfit presented the “DJ of the Year” award to the late DJ AM. And last but not least, Ice Cube received the "I Am Hip-Hop" icon award.
RCJ will not be reporting anything else about BET unless there is a fight, arrest or shooting. Sorry guys, but we're just not that interested.
